Eiffel Scholarships in France for International Students

Now! Eiffel Scholarships in France is open for international students. The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was recognized by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to allow French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to register in their masters and PhD programs.

It gives chance to the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in precedence areas of study, and encourages candidates up to 25 years old from developing countries at master’s level, and candidates up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at PhD level.

  2. Engineering program, or
  3. A joint doctoral program [joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree], in partnership with a partner institution abroad.

Scholarship duration

For Master’s level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly stipend of €1,181 and can be awarded for 12-36 months.  For PhD level studies, the Eiffel scholarship contains a monthly allowance of €1,700 and is awarded for a maximum of 12 months.

In addition, the programme meets numerous expenses including international transportation, national transportation, health insurance, housing searches, and cultural activities.

Tuition fees are not awarded by the Eiffel Programme. Though, recipients of French government scholarships are relieved from tuition dues for programs leading to a national diploma (master, doctorate) or accredited engineering degree in public institutions of a scientific, cultural, or professional nature supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, in accordance with article R719-49 of the national education code.

Applications are NOT accepted from students directly. Applications for EIFFEL scholarships are applied by French Higher Education Institutions. Applications sent directly by students or by overseas institutions will be declared qualified.

If you want to be considered for the scholarship, then you must apply and meet the requirements of the French Higher Education Institution. Contact the French educational institution or research organization by visiting its official website or by emailing or telephoning its office of international relations to learn how to apply for submission of admission (including the date by which your application must be established).
